I'm a Backend Software Engineer who thrives on building systems that don't just work but perform. My foundation is solid, thanks to my experience in COBOL programming on IBM Mainframe systems.

My real mission is fueling the future: I founded Xenothon, an impact-driven 'early-stage' startup that's yet to tackle Africa's biggest challenges using cutting-edge technology like 3D manufacturering, Robotics, Blockchain, Clean Energy production. We're not just building apps; we're contributing in making Africa a global powerhouse and a hub for innovation.

When I unplug, you can find me diving into DIY robotics projects with my Arduino and Raspberry Pi, or perhaps finding zen in gardening, because whether it’s code, a circuit board, or a seed, I'm all about growth, precision, and building something amazing from the ground up!

Developer - Johannesburg (October 2025 – Present)

I currently serve as a Junior Mainframe Developer, where I focus on the core systems that drive our business. My primary responsibilities involve application development and maintenance, utilizing COBOL for coding and debugging, and managing batch processes with JCL. I also support online transaction processing environments using CICS. I am responsible for strict code control and deployment using tools like ISPW, assist with production job scheduling via TWS, and actively participate in both rapid Incident Management and disciplined Change Management protocols to ensure system stability and compliance. This role has been key to me mastering the foundational technology of enterprise computing.

As the founder of Xenothon, I’m leading a fast-growing, impact-driven company focused on solving Africa’s most pressing challenges through advanced technology. We are pioneering solutions in AI, Clean Energy, AgriTech, HealthTech, Blockchain, and Digital Infrastructure, designed to power the future of African industries. As a Mainframe Developer intern, I gained hands-on experience across enterprise mainframe environments, contributing to application maintenance and enhancements using COBOL, managing batch workloads with JCL, and supporting online transaction processing with CICS.
